In the fall of 2024, UpcycleLino will introduce a new material. This material utilizes denim scraps produced during the denim wear manufacturing process as the weft thread. The name of this material is “Denim-blended Canvas.”

This fabric, which uses 100% medium-thick linen yarn for the warp thread, is characterized by a moderate thickness, firmness, and stiffness. This time, two styles—a hooded coat and wide pants—will be released.

The denim fabric used mainly for this material is UpcycleLino 10oz denim. In other words, “We created a new fabric by upcycling cutting waste from our previously upcycled UpcycleLino Denim fabric.”

Since the fabric contains regenerated fibers from denim scraps, the material has indigo blue flecks. When mixed with the linen thread, it results in a slightly bluish-gray color with a blend of various shades.

Both the hooded coat and pants are treated with a super water-repellent finish after being tailored. While being made of 100% natural materials, we aimed to create everyday wear with water-repellent functionality. We managed to add this feature without compromising the natural breathability and moisture permeability of linen and cotton, allowing the garments to repel water. This ensures comfortable wear without the stuffiness typically associated with synthetic rainwear.
